France-IOI: teaching programming and algorithmsI am the co-founder and active member of France-IOI, a non-profit organization founded in 2004. The historic role of France-IOI consists in selecting and training the french team to the International Olympiads in Informatics (IOI). The other and probably most important purpose of France-IOI is to provide online teaching resources that anyone can use for learning about programming and algorithmics. The Bebras contestI proof-read the exercises used for the Concours Castor, which is the french edition of the Bebras contest. The goal of the contest is to raise young students' interest in algorithmics. Over 46,000 students aged between 10 and 18 participated to the first french edition of the contest in November 2011.
